Weather Policy

For reasons of safety and pitch care, if there has been a hard frost, or heavy snow, or the pitches are waterlogged, we may have to cancel training. We generally make the decision to cancel training by 8:00am on the Saturday morning and then age group managers are informed by 8:15am at which point they will contact parents by text or email. At the same time, the club will update this website and social media resources such as Facebook and Twitter.

Some description

If you want to know whether training is cancelled please check your texts, emails, social media and this website. If there is no news then please assume training is ON. Please do not ring your age group manager until you have checked all of the aforementioned resources as they are likely to be inundated with calls otherwise. Thank you!

Please make sure that players are adequately prepared for the weather. This means in the winter having enough warm layers, waterproofs and maybe a warm drink or snack on hand. In the summer plenty of cold drinks (non-fizzy) are essential. If there is a dramatic worsening of the weather conditions during training, please do not wait until the end of training to collect your child if you or they are uncomfortable. You are of course, free to leave the training session at any time as you see fit.

On match days, managers will contact the parents of affected players directly via text, phone call or email.
